As Founder of RSI, Michael Richmond is a former athlete who played Baseball, Football and ran Track. He also attended college at Penn State University where he majored in Organizational Leadership. Having held numerous management positions in professional baseball has given him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the sports industry. Richmond's management credentials cover a wide spectrum as Owner/President, General Manager, Field Manager and Director of Player Personnel. He served with the Altoona Rail Kings in Altoona, PA as the General Manager/Field Manager of the North Atlantic Baseball League and the Heartland League; the Massachusetts Mad Dogs in Lynn, MA as the Director of Player Personnel of the North Atlantic Baseball League and the Spartanburg Alleycats in Spartanburg, SC as the Owner/President & General Manager of the Atlantic Coast League. Michael's business career in professional sports started with the Houston Astros Major League Baseball Club in Houston, Texas. Over the years Richmond has negotiated a large number of professional sports contracts and has received training on Collective Bargaining and Contract Administration from Penn State University where his emphasis is on the collective bargaining agreements of MLB and the NFL. The appointment of Michael as a Union Steward for the Transportation Workers Union - Local 513, which represented workers of American Airlines earlier in his career gave him invaluable experience. In this position he monitored and enforced the provisions of a complex collective bargaining agreement for a large number of workers in the FSC workgroup. Michael is registered in the State of Texas as an Athlete Agent.
